complementary cronulla
Back to the PortfolioThe needs of the client were simple for this architecturally modern residence in Cronulla. They wanted to achieve a front yard which complimented the sleek architecture of the house, whilst providing an interesting and welcoming garden entry that took into account the site levels.
The garden encompasses a more formalised modern design theme through the use of quality contrasting materials such as spanish limestone paving, black shellstone feature tiles and steps, cedar timber slats and gates, and dark hardwood decking.
This project was given its structure ironically through the soft landscaping component of the project, and through the use of a palette of suitable plants to promote a manicured garden.
Grey tone graded river pebbles mixed with lucky-stones pick up the house colour and compliment the neutral palette tones applied to the house. The vibrant green foliage of the plants and lawn soften the hard surfaces and bring life to the structural components.
